My Story

Given every opportunity to turn back and give up, I stuck with my decision and continued forward. With a lot of determination, I forged my own path and, through it all, believed in myself and my abilities.

With grit, faith, and a bit of trepidation, I started my real estate career in 2019. Little did I know, it was just a few months before the world shut down due to COVID. At any moment, I could have picked up the phone and asked for my old job back, but I didn't. I was determined to stick with my decision.

Before I started working in real estate, I worked for the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. I started at the very bottom as a procurement assistant, and I worked hard to be promoted several times, eventually processing contracts for big projects all over the world.

This determination to never quit is rooted in my childhood experiences. When I was 9 years old, my single mom decided to move our family across the country. It was a difficult time for me because I had to adjust to a new place and take care of my younger sister while my mom worked two jobs. I vividly remember doing everything we could to stretch our dollars and waste nothing.

An example is when I worked on a big contract to buy biofuel stoves for tribes in Africa to reduce their wood fire emissions. It was such a cool project to be a part of, but I couldn’t help but think how I would rather be on the ground in Africa working with these tribes and delivering resources. My job was great and important to the process, but I craved a more personal role.

Never seeing the fruits of my labor, I began exploring real estate. I was drawn to forming human connections with people and learning the stories behind each transaction. In 2019, I made the decision to leave my job and join the real estate industry full-time. I was excited to see the results of my hard work, but just a few months after I started, COVID hit, and everything shut down. It was extremely nerve-wracking, and I had no idea how long it would last. But I was determined not to give up.

My family has a saying, “Anything is possible, and everything is.” I believe that's what helped us get through those tough times. My mom always reminded us we could get through it no matter what challenge we faced. She really is a huge inspiration for me in all areas of my life.

These experiences have translated into my real estate career, where I try to uphold a positive attitude through every up and down. I know that it can be frustrating for agents, buyers, and sellers alike, but I always try to remember that tomorrow is another day. With this attitude, I managed to close 14 deals in my first full year of real estate – my persistence paid off! It wasn't easy, but I am very proud that I didn’t take the easy way out. I reminded myself why I chose this path and stayed on course.

In the following year, I found my momentum and doubled the number of people I helped, totaling over $11,000,000 in volume. Real estate has been my greatest gift. Every day I get to help people on a personal level. I can’t imagine a more rewarding or fulfilling path.

Apart from work, I love to be outside, whether riding bikes, golfing, snowboarding, or playing softball with my wife, I enjoy it all! There is so much to look forward to in the coming years. It is my goal to travel more, play the saxophone live with a band, and finally get around to climbing a 14er!
